"I initially consulted a speciality hospital in Ernakulam for my knee pain, where I was advised to take an MRI scan of both knees. After reviewing the MRI report, I was informed that there was significant damage and was advised to go for surgery. My MRI findings included: Left knee: Grade 3 meniscus tear (posterior horn), mild joint effusion, and subchondral cyst with marrow edema Right knee: Mild to moderate effusion, Grade 2 meniscus injury, MCL sprain, ACL sprain, and early cartilage wear (chondromalacia) Since I was not comfortable proceeding with surgery, I decided to take a second opinion. That's when I visited Agastya Hospital. The doctors, especially Dr. Bose and Dr. Sreeju Bose, explained my condition in detail and guided me with a well-structured and honest treatment plan. They clearly informed me what results I could expect and how the recovery process would be. The hospital has separate therapy teams for both gents and ladies, ensuring comfort and privacy. There are four well-maintained therapy rooms, and everything is managed in a very organized and professional way. The therapists Rajamon, Vijeesh, and Justin implemented the treatments very effectively and professionally, strictly following the doctor's instructions. My treatment plan was for 18 days, and it was well structured: First 7 days: Abhyangam (7 days), Upanaham (5 days), and Swedam (steam bath). I experienced very good improvement during this phase, with noticeable reduction in pain, although there were slight fluctuations. Day 9 to 11: Pizhichil – This phase helped in further relaxation and recovery. Day 12 to 18: Njavarakizhi – This stage gave me the most confidence, and I felt close to recovery. This is where I experienced major improvement. Another thing I really appreciated is the authenticity of their treatments. For therapies like Njavarakizhi, the medicines are prepared in-house. The milk used is sourced directly from locally raised cows, ensuring quality and freshness. This shows their dedication to genuine Ayurvedic practice. The doctors had honestly told me that by the time of discharge, I could expect around 60% pain relief, and the remaining improvement would depend on how well I follow their advice afterward. "Fantastic experience ayurvedic care. I came at Agasthya Medical Center for the first time. After a knee prothesis surgery in France my knee was very stiff and I could'nt walk very well. So here I met Dr T.D.Bose and Dr Nisham Bams. They gave me a medical protocol with different massages. The three women therapists which take care of me were so professional, gentle !!!
